AURELIUS portfolio company Cargill Animal Nutrition Switzerland renamed “Granovit”
- Rebranding to be completed by early February 2018
- Customer focus to be even stronger in future
Munich, 19 December 2017 – Cargill Animal Nutrition Switzerland, a portfolio company of AURELIUS Equity Opportunities SE & Co. KGaA (ISIN DE000A0JK2A8), will be renamed after its carve-out from the former US parent company Cargill Group. The Swiss animal feed business of the Cargill Group taken over by AURELIUS just six weeks ago will operate under a new name, “Granovit”, from 1 February 2018. Along with being renamed Granovit, the company will also be given a new logo. The entire rebranding process is to be completed by early February 2018. All services and deliveries will continue unchanged during this period.
In future, Granovit is to have a clear and even stronger customer focus. To do this, the Swiss company intends to shorten decision-making paths and adopt a more decentralised structure. Internal administration functions will be streamlined to free up the employees for customer relationships. At the same time, communication with customers is to be clearer, more targeted and more timely than in the past. Granovit aims to become the quality leader on the Swiss market for animal feed and win its customers over with corresponding innovations.
Matthias Täubl, Vice President of AURELIUS with responsibility for the realignment of Granovit had the following to say: “Since the company was taken over by AURELIUS six weeks ago, we have introduced a range of measures with the support of the AURELIUS Task Force to make Granovit a local Swiss company that operates with much more proximity to its customers. For example, we want to work together more closely with Swiss partners in the future. To achieve a better customer focus, Granovit will invest in measures such as additional staff in sales and technical services.”
Granovit is a leading player in the Swiss market for animal feed, with three state-of-the-art feed production sites in Lucens, Gossau, and Kaiseraugst. At its headquarter in Lucens/Switzerland the company produces premix as well as complete feed for poultry, swine as well as beef and dairy cattle. The product offering also includes specialty feed for pets, horses and zoo animals as well as medicated feed. Granovit employs around 250 people.
